Notice to Applicants
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in joining the team at Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat. Our mission is to be a sanctuary for spiritual growth, personal development and training and service in a natural setting and atmosphere.
As a Christian organization, the standards and code of conduct at LBCR are set very high. Every person in our organization represents the values of LBCR to our campers, counselors, clergy and other visitors. At LBCR, we are entrusted with children and their well-being while a guest at our camp. Included in that is the example we set in our behavior. Every position at LBCR is a position of ministry and each of us will be expected to conduct ourselves in such a manner.
If you are extended an offer of employment, you will be expected to abide by the following policies without exception. If you are unable to abide by them, please do not apply.
- Do not take the Lord's name in vain.
- No foul language, objectionable slang phrases or distasteful jokes or remarks.
- No dating or romantic displays of affection with other staff members or camp counselors/leaders.
- No alcohol or drugs on LBCR property or inside any of the facilities.
- No smoking anywhere on LBCR property or inside any of the facilities.
- No revealing or inappropriate clothing.
- No facial piercing other than earrings.
- No vulgar tattoos.
- Each person extended an offer will be required to submit to a thorough nationwide background and criminal investigation. Convictions do not necessarily bar employment. Management will consider each offense.
- Team members may be subject to alcohol and/or drug testing either randomly or for cause.
While we must hold each other and ourselves to high moral standards, the work at LBCR can be very rewarding. The camaraderie with your teammates and the joy you see in the campers is beyond measure.
In His Grip,
Traci Hall
