A Place to Come Together, Connect and Renew

Since 1947, Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat has provided a place where people can step away from everyday life, reconnect with one another, and make room for God. For nearly 80 years, generations of children, families, churches, and groups have gathered here for fellowship, worship, recreation, and renewal.

Located on a beautiful peninsula overlooking Lake Brownwood in the heart of Texas, LBCR offers a peaceful, wooded setting where you can slow down and breathe. From sunrise over the lake to evenings around the campfire, there are countless opportunities to build community, enjoy God’s creation, and make lasting memories.

Today, LBCR welcomes churches, families, youth groups, retreats, conferences, and organizations from across Texas. Our facilities and staff are here to provide a comfortable, welcoming experience and take care of the details along the way. This allows groups to focus on what brought them together, whether that’s growing in faith, strengthening relationships, serving others, or simply taking a break from the demands of everyday life.
